I can't sing the praises of Tomis in the Clough Road store enough. He was helpful, knowledgeable, patient and approachable and this was very helpful for a self-confessed technophobe. We had an extremely difficult time trying to fulfil my requirements but he never faltered in his pursuit of my goals. He is an absolute credit to his mum and Halfords and I have the impression that he will go far. Well done and thank you so much.
Took my Boardman bike back and up graded it for the Boardman above it. Theo gave me a seamless service an excellent bike mechanic and excellent at his job . Resolved the issue in minutes and built me a lovely responsive bike that is best suited to me. In my experience I would recommend going to see him yourself get proper advice on the bike you are buying and I would recommend you let them build the bike as well. Great attention to detail and im pleased I went into the store rather than deal with it all online. Theo even helped me with making sure I was ordering the correct model. They then build it so quick I missed the call to collect it and had to listen to the voice mail saying come and collect it now its ready..once again amazing service amazing customer service seamless. 10/10 keep up the good work this is a great example of how a business should be run.
Not a bad experience per day but when I've paid for a premium pickup at a selected time, then have to wait 30 minutes as there is a queue which we have to wait in. Then it's kind of fruitless paying for the premium pickup as I could have just waited anytime. Seems like an unnecessary cost for the customer. Edit* Hi Toni, I have tried to contact through there and was abruptly cut off by the agent. Naturally it further amplifies a poor service as customer care is not an objective it seems. My order number is 559428, feel free to email me as my email will be attached to the order number. Kind regards, Mike
I've been a customer of Halfords for very very many years and so it's obvious I like the store, it's stock, the service and the Halfords brand. That said in recent years the customer service has majorly improved further still and the staff have become far more personable, friendly, knowledgeable about their stock and better skilled for example changing car light bulbs, windscreen wipers and generally giving me the customer confidence in their capability to look after whatever I've needed at the time. I'm also going to mention that while it shouldn't be impressive in 2025 it actually is impressive that gender plays absolutely no role in the staff members job roles. Having female staff members wearing high visibility jackets changing car light bulbs etc is an example I can point out from many memories when I've had the misfortune to need assistance in that way. Further more though as I walk up to your store's on the front glass door of the building proudly and thoughtfully placed is welcoming and up-to-date I must add LGBTQIA+ flag. This in and of itself is the message that says you're all welcome, you're all respected, you're all safe here and it is actually moving to see that a big company such as Halfords isn't afraid to be public and forthright about the all inclusive progressive attitude and values it's staff of all levels clearly and proudly have. As a trans female myself I believe it is so important to acknowledge the great and show appreciation when it's necessary. Halfords is somewhere I've always been very comfortable going but without the great service of your staff in Clough Road store and St Andrews Quay store it it would serve no purpose for shopping their. Well done in all areas. Andrea Emily Kensington-Key
After purchasing a bike on line, assembled Christmas Eve ready for the big day. Unfortunately rear tyre tube faulty so went to local branch in Hull who were too busy to fix, OK so only alternative was to diy but assistant then expected me to pay for the tube (or the repair after Christmas)! She made it plain that they were not interested in support for on line sales even though I pointed out that it was the same company. Only resolved by referring to the store manager who agreed to provide inner tube gratis. And of course I’m doing the job for which Halfords should take responsibility. Buyer beware!
