Fanthorpes HiFi

The mark of a good business is not when the going is good but when things go wrong and how they deal with it. Firstly, and for clarity, there was nothing wrong with the DAC I recently I bought from Fanthorpes, but the courier erroneously shipped the item to not just the wrong address but to the wrong country. I live in the UK and huge credit to Fanthorpes who worked extremely dilligently to try and locate the parcel. They offered a refund when hope was fading and frankly, I thought, they were offering such absolutely fantastic service that we persevered. Matty worked extremely hard to locate and get the DAC back, they then checked it was all working perfectly and then re-sent. There was another very small courier hiccup, but that was again all sorted at their end and it arrived on the due day in fantastic condition and works beautifully. It is a mark or true customer service when a company stands by their customer and works really hard to ensure satisfaction. I am truly delighted and the DAC is excellent and just as they described. I now know that the service they offer is second to none and truly exemplary. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I hope to repay their awesome service by buying more from them in the future. If you are in any doubt about buying from them, put those doubts aside, their service is exceptional, knowledge exemplary and offerings very keenly priced. A great, long standing company with deep expertise who really go the extra mile. Old school, excellence and customer service that is second to none. Deep knowledge on the integration of hifi separates. Since discovering Fanthorpes I won’t go anywhere else. Multiple purchases and upgrades since I met the team. Marc, Dave, Phil and Steve, all absolute gentlemen, even have the courtesy to respond thoroughly to questions, recommendations and cost effective options. Great work gents, thanks again 😊👍

A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them. They brought my kit out and installed it and made sure everything was ready and more importantly I was ready. They took me though the set up and explained everything until It was clear in my head. It’s a good job they didn’t test me on the questions afterwards though ! Fabulous.

I was looking for somewhere where I could trade in my Ruark R2 as I really wanted to switch to the R410 and R-CD100 that could be attached to it and came across Fanthorpe. They were incredible, gave me a fair trade in (obviously subject to them receiving and inspecting) and made it incredibly easy to send the unit in. My R410 was delivered within 2 days I think of ordering and R2 collected by same courier. I mainly dealt with Phil, but the whole process was simple, Phil always returned my calls promptly and was incredibly helpful. Trading in or not I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Wonderful service from Marc and Steve. From my initial enquiry through to delivery and installation and trade in, this was a super service I'd recommend to anyone - even though I lived a nearly 6 hour journey away. Please use independant smaller dealers like this to keep this level of service alive and well! I will certainly return to Fanthorpes once my bank balance recovers and my wife allows me to spend again! If you are considering Elysian 3's, just do it! :) Edit: Added new images to show evolution..
