About

Situated conveniently at the Stourton Park and Ride in Belle Isle, Leeds, the Blink Charging Station provides an essential service for electric vehicle owners. This facility stands out for its commitment to sustainability, generating 100% of its power from on-site solar panels. It offers a practical and environmentally conscious solution for drivers needing to recharge their vehicles while in the area, or before continuing their journey through Yorkshire.

The station boasts a comprehensive selection of charging points to suit various EV models, including numerous Type 2 charging stations, some capable of up to 38kW, alongside several CCS fast units and even CHAdeMO options, which are increasingly hard to find. They had 30 Type 2 charging stations that were capable of putting out as much as 38Kw and I think 2 charging stations that were CCS fast units as well. They're all solar powered too, which is a thoughtful touch. Free parking as well. We had a successful charge but the entrance and exit is unbelievable, hence why not 5 stars. You have to negotiate a ridiculous concrete slalom just to leave or enter the site, loads of massive concrete blocks to navigate past. There must be an alternative instead of this eyesore barricade?

Another successful charge at the cheapest rapid chargers in Leeds. 100% solar power generated on site. And they have CHAdeMO too, which is getting harder to find. Very helpful staff in the P+R building, and you don't need to take a bus to use the chargers. The only thing that'd make it better is a vending machine for snacks while I charge up!

No 200kW charging here. Just 4x 50kW, 2 of which are marked as disabled only, despite the fact that there was plenty of space for all 4 units to be laid out for easy access and disables use, and then everyone would have benefitted. There are also many (maybe 40 to 50) 22kW untethered head units, which appeared to all be located outside of what is otherwise a massive undercovered area. Why you would put untethered chargers out in the open rain (when drivers will be faffing with cables and charge ports), whilst having tons of regular car parking spaces under cover is beyond me. Still at least 22kW units are mostly what are needed at a park and ride I suppose. The only facilities here are a toilet. I was expecting this to be a proper charging hub. What a disappointment.

No GreenFlux 200kw Rapid 3 charger as advertised publicly, and also on E-Tron app that takes Audi E-Tron card. Instead was forced to download an app and pay via that on a Blink Charger. Wouldn’t even accept contactless. Access poor and had to navigate some awful bollards. Place closed and like a ghost town.
