I bought my partner a solid gold bracelet from a sale for Christmas. The date of the sale made any returns after Christmas unfeasible. Unfortunately the bracelet did not fit my partner so I contacted Dinny Hall to see if there was anything they could do - I wasn't looking for a refund I was looking for assistance to exchange or get credit, as we are both long serving customers. I was expecting some good old fashioned customer service and a bit of compassion and assistance - but I was met with a complete brick wall on the matter and no assistance whatsoever. the item will now just live in a drawer, which I don't think is the right place for an 18k gold bracelet. They have since told me the item was "sold as seen". While they state this was the case, blanket no-return or no-exchange terms for online sales are not compliant with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which provide a statutory 14-day cooling-off period regardless of sale status. So perhaps beware of their selling practices too.
