We had a totally relaxing holiday. When we arrived, it was easy to get in even though we had only booked that morning. It was clean and homely. I loved the blankets around the home. It is a quiet and polite place. People were polite. The hot tub was great, just what we needed. My dog enjoyed her long walks. i can honestly say we will book again. Bager retreat is gorgeous. It's not far from the shops it's definitely a friendly place. Thanks

Another vote for Stag Lodge No. 47 booked via Sykes (seemed to be cheapest). Many of the lodges are privately owned and rented out by the owners on various sites but I think 46 and 47 are for sale and managed by the park and therefore great if you have any little niggles to sort out. This is not a 5 star location if you want any type of entertainment or don't have a car but if you get the weather it is lovely to relax in. If you do have a car really close to all the classic towns of North Yorkshire with free parking available. There is also fly pasts on many days courtesy of the the RAF practicing and in the distant the rumble of the army training but I didn't find it intrusive. EE coverage seemed to be fine. Very steep steps from car park so no could if mobility is an issue. Beautifully presented lodge with Bath, Dishwasher and Washing machine. Oh yes and if you like trains very close to Locomotion, a free entry massive museum dedicated to train history, v. impressive.
