Quite ironic that they don't accept pets. It was originally a Dog Kennel, not an old agricultural building. It should say, we accept pets , but not owners. I know because it was my kennels for 16 years. But they have made a very nice job of it.

The Little Barn at Hurst is a true gem of a place, beautifully restored and appointed with everything you could possibly need during your stay, all cleverly stowed away. The garden is lovely, complete with pizza oven, barbecue and fire pit. A star gazing kit is provided, which is perfect, as the skies are stunning on a clear night as there is no light pollution. We found lots of extra treats on our arrival, a bottle of Prosecco, chocolate and fresh eggs in the fridge as well as crisps and even marshmallows to toast on the fire pit. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely, and there were big fluffy towels and super comfy bedding. We made the most of everything during our stay, and really appreciated the opportunity to disconnect from the world for a few days. The Little Barn is close to Reeth and Richmond isn't far away, but it was lovely just to wander along the path from the Barn and then return and relax! This was a really lovely few days, made all the more special by Rebecca, the host, whose thoughtfulness and excellent communication made the whole experience really relaxed from the start! I would recommend this beautiful little hideaway to anyone wanting to chill out, relax and enjoy getting away from it all for a while.

Very happy to be able to stay at The Little Barn again this year. Decorated beautifully for the season. This place is so calming and peaceful and quiet. The little touches add to this. Walked down to Reeth again, and back up. Try the bookshop in Grinton and the Ice Cream parlour in Reeth.

Beautiful little find, nothing too much for the host who was fantastic and informative throughout. Little things thought of and the most comfortable bed! Would return in a heartbeat

What an absolute gem of a place! The drive to the barn was just lovely, surrounded by beautiful countryside and quiet roads. The barn has been beautifully renovated clearly with a lot of love and attention and retains much of its original beauty it has everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need if you are cooking rather than eating out. The bedroom has good quality bedding and was very comfortable with little touches like fairy lights and LED candles making it very cosy. The bathroom is also very neat and makes good use of the space with a decent shower and lovely fluffy towels. The AU Lait toiletries were an added bonus and I have now ordered some for myself!! The welcome treats were lovely and made our arrival even more special. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful the only noise coming from the wildlife which ticks all the boxes for me I could quite easily move in tomorrow!! Thankyou Rebecca, The Little Barn is just beautiful x Sam and Simon, West Yorkshire
