I visited the memorial together with other Veterans and fellow Masons, during our charity cycle ride from Spurn Point to North Tees Hospital on the 5th September. It was a very moving experience and we gained even more information from an ex RAF pilot, who stopped by in his black retro Rolls Royce. Our ride raised over £30,000 for TLC Teddies that are given to distressed children in A & E departments. We saw many beautiful and interesting sites along the way, but this one was the best by far.
A fitting tribute to the brave bomber commard of young men who made the ultimate sacrifice, in order to secure the future of us now and future generations. Beautiful sculpture.
