We had a really good experience staying at The Black Hat! We had great service from everyone who helped us especially who I assume to be the owner who was very friendly to both me and my step son, which goes a long way for me. The room was exceptionally clean and well kept thanks to Jonnel and Emily. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was both aesthetically and for its cleanliness. The room included a an iron, ironing board, coat hangers, tv, fully filled shampoos etc. as well as a coffee machine. Also I must mention how good the water pressure and water temperature was in the show. The Breakfast was also great, coffee, milk and juices ready to pour to your liking, cereal, pastries and fruit also. You ordered straight off the breakfast menu but you could make custom decisions to what you’d like to add or take off your plate and was fresh made to order with choice of how you wanted your eggs. The Black Hat also have a lovely garden area that I didn’t take best use of in November but I am very sure is great for summer beer garden weather. Overall, the room was beautiful, the staff were really kind and the breakfast was top notch! This would be my first choice to stay in Ilkly if I was to stay there again.
Busy, hot bank holiday when I visited. Decent selection of beers for all tastes and special discount on hand pulled beers on a Monday. Food was good old fashioned pub grub.Staff were very friendly and professional. Will definitely visit again.
Fabulous breakfast and a very comfortable sparkling cleanroom in the company of Dickie Bird…cricket theme room names 😊 Tony manages the places superbly and he is a lovely man to chat with.
We called in to The black hat, Ilkley for lunch we had a pint of lager and a medium glass of Chardonnay which came to £14.35 a bit steep but it is ilkley we had the small roast beef Sunday lunch £7.50 which was nice warm and tasty and the service was fine they are also dog friendly.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Perfect Stay! I had an amazing stay at this pub hotel. The owner, Tony, was absolutely fantastic—so generous, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. The place was spotless, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell a lot of care goes into running this hotel. It was the perfect stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great hospitality and a clean, relaxing place to stay. Thank you, Tony!
