Saimah's Restaurant

The curry was mild (and im not on about the spice) and the service left a lot to be desired. They have a fantastic curry deal for Wednesdays and Sundays but today we didnt get to choose our meal. We weren't even given a menu on arrival and when we asked for one our request was denied. To put the cherry on top, we were charged for the meal before we'd even finished eating. Will be taking our service to shimla spice in Shipley next time.

As always we really enjoyed our food tonight. At other restaurants I often find curry to be over oily and heavy, but I’ve never had this issue at Saimahs. Saimahs has a wide choice of dishes, and everything we’ve tried over the years has been really nice, and cooked to suit our spice preferences. The food tastes fresh and authentic with lots of depth in flavour, and the service is always friendly and timely. We often dine at Saimahs on Wednesdays or Sundays to take advantage of their three course offer, as it is such brilliant value. I usually end up taking enough home for lunch the next day as the portion sizes are quite generous.

My friends and I have been going to Saimah's for years because their dishes are consistently perfectly prepared, authentic and delicious, the atmosphere lovely, and the service top-notch. Huge appreciation that staff remember customers and genuinely care that people have a great visit with them - a wonderful quality that makes your custom feel valued and serves to enhance the whole dining experience. So, firm fan here. Keep doing what you're doing, gents, we love you!

Myself, my husband and son, booked a meal for 6.00pm yesterday for New Years Day. We arrived a few minutes before, the restaurant was empty. I am not sure why the owner was telling us the previous night, that they had a few bookings but they left without paying? What was they implying? I told them what happened the previous night had nothing to do with us. He showed me the bookings in their dairy with names, which wasn't right at all. The customer service was non, the atmosphere was really bad. My son was talking to a young man serving the meal, he was very ignorant and didnt even make conversation. We have been a few times the last time was my husband's birthday. The food as always was good, I have no compliant there. The only thing was my son went to the toilet, no signage he hadn't been before, he opened the door to the kitchen, an easy mistake. Really made us all feel very unwelcome. No customer service at all. When I got home yesterday I sent the restaurant an email, just a standard reply. I've read reviews and it seems like your losing a lot of custom and getting a really bad reputation. Not good at all, we will not be going back, there are plenty more curry houses in Ilkley, that we will give our custom too
