M&S Simply Food

I think it's a good little store which is well stocked, very clean and easy to find the products I am looking for. The staff are very kind and helpful and I also shop there because it only takes me 10 minutes on foot. I do have one grouse and that is the pricing. Last week I picked up a pack of 4 peaches thinking they were £2 but at the checkout the reading was £3.50. One of the Assistants ran to the fresh fruit counter to do a price check and the £2 peaches were out of stock and the different was they had 5 in a pack and a different bar code. No wonder they'd been snapped up. So I decided against the £3.50 pack and was given a refund.

Fed up of using the self service checkouts which invariably have broken scales. A member of staff told me that none of them worked. Why don't they get them fixed or employ the staff on a manned checkout?

Very good food product. Suitable for all dietary needs. They do wooden cutlery so its compostable.

Excellent central location and free car park. Clean and well stocked. Good ranges of fruit and veg and flowers but all a bit pricey .Congested aisles at peaks. Helpful staff. But so few means a shoplifter's paradise, if you care to watch as well as shop. Nice wide self service tills.

Lovely, helpful staff. Some interesting ready meals, gorgeous puds and I rarely buy fruit and veg anywhere else, the fresh food is delicious. Nice breads too. Can get very busy on a Friday and Saturday.
