Friends of Ham

I visited Friends of Ham with my mum and we had an enjoyable experience. We had booked and it was quite busy despite being mid-week so would recommend booking in advance! We waited 20 minutes to order drinks which the waiter did apologise for as they were busy. They probably could have done with an extra server. The waiter themselves was lovely but a bit rushed off their feet. The drinks selection was great for wine and I love the Thistly Cross cider! We created our own board which we really enjoyed and the meat was a good quality but could probably do with a few more items to choose from. The atmosphere was lovely and we loved the photography display - people and their dogs. It was a little loud and the seating space inside is quite intimate so if you are a larger group I would definitely recommend booking in advance:)

At first, I liked this place. The server was run off her feet so service was slow. But I literally sat for over twenty minutes before I was acknowledged. The food was good but, wow, pricey. I had a small salad, the carpaccio, bread, and a glass of wine, but I didn’t expect to pay £36 for lunch. I’m sorry but £4.50 for two slices of bread? Honestly, cute place, nice server, but insane price.

Great variation of drinks and delicious food to go with it. Service was brilliant and the staff were very welcoming. I would recommend to anyone staying in Ilkley. Would definitely come again in the future. Thanks 🙂

We visit here every now and then and it never disappoints. The service is always super friendly and the food is fabulous. It’s such a great spot whether it’s on a cold day or outside on a lovely day in summer! Highly recommend.

After traipsing round a very busy Ilkley we tried our luck at Friends of Ham…I’m so glad we did. The staff were attentive, the food and drink excellent, and the cosy atmosphere just what we were looking for. Thank you!
