Travelled two hours to get a set of knifes, there is something for most budgets and they made us feel welcome from the beginning, the shop was rammed and not once did the service feel rushed or compromised , what a buisness, don’t bother ordering online, just turn up and get the info you need from these guys as they’re are second to non and there’s no wonder they are as popular as they are, they offer your first sharpening for free and I even bought they’re own book to teach me how to sharpen my self Couldn’t recommend them any more if I tried

So foolishly I managed to lose one of my pairing knives. I saw this as a really good excuse to visit Community cutlery as it’s around the corner from my in laws. A small but perfectly formed little shop nestled in the town of Ilkley in West Yorkshire. They have an excellent selection of knives and other kitchen/garden goods and I may have left with a little more than just the paring knife I needed 👀. It was really nice to be able to pop into a shop and see products in person and get some brilliant advice. There’s something to be said about visiting a shop in person rather than shopping online. If you’re in the area I would recommend popping in.

Life changing! I finally dropped into see Gaz and George to get an all-rounder knife and am super happy now. I got a thin Japanese style stainless steel Windmuhlenmesser Santoku from Solingen, Germany. The difference from an average knife and a good normal thickness, like my old Global is unbelievable. Easy to slice, felt good. It looks nice also. It was reasonably priced as well. All this was backed up by great advice and chat from George and Gaz. It's worth popping in for the chat alone. Next time I need a sharpen or a new knife I wont be going anywhere else!
