Matthew and the team at Coopers have always done great jobs for us, repairing and restoring our solid oak furniture. But when we gave them our latest challenge, we were amazed at the result ! We wanted to change all the dark oak furniture in our lounge (dresser, tv unit and nest of tables) to a lime washed finish with a colour tint to match the newly painted beams and woodwork. The result was stunning (see photograph) and has transformed our lounge ! The finish is not only beautiful, but tough and durable. Matthew kept us informed all through the process and invited us to check a colour sample at the final stage, to make sure we were happy with how the furniture would look. Thank you, Matthew, for achieving the exact look we wanted in our now beautiful lounge !

Just received an excellent repair. Have used Coopers a number of times and have always been pleased with the quality of the work and how amenable and flexible the staff are. Would definitely recommend.

Took my mantle clock for full service and repair. Given price of £100 for service with no guarantee or £300 with a 1 year guarantee. Clock is basic but has great sentimental value so went for higher price with guarantee. Should have saved my money. The clock initially took over 8 weeks for service. Chime sounded like a muffled ding when it had always been a good resounding ding dong. Worked for just over 2 weeks then stopped and wouldn't go again. Emailed to say not working and as guaranteed would bring it back in. No reply to email so took it back explaining to the lady in reception why it was back. Phone call from male 2 weeks later asking me what I wanted doing with the clock. Seemed surprised when I said I wanted it fixing properly so that it actually works and that is what I thought I had paid £300 for. They had the clock for another 5 months and 2 months on it still won't keep the right time and has to sit on a slant to go. No chime at all. Utter waste of money and glad I didn't let them loose on my grandfather clock.

Coopers recently repaired a couple of dining chairs for us and we are delighted with the result. The chairs are like new. Really fast service and Coopers were able to deliver them so process was super easy. In fact everything from initial contact, through quote to finished job was thoroughly professional. Can recommend Coopers 100%.

Initially responded well on email took along my grandmothers stool and heard nothing for months. Then we’re asked to source our own sheepskin for the seat - not something they’d said initially- they said they would restore the sheepskin seated stool. Took along our own sheepskin and again heard nothing for a month. Eventually we rang and were told it was ready - they seemed surprised that we hadn’t collected it sooner. How could we if we hadn’t been informed that it was ready. Sadly really not impressed with the quality of the work and certainly wouldn’t recommend Coopers in Ilkley to restore any furniture.
