A peaceful place to honour the fallen, and it does so with great respect with their names recorded on plaques... lest we forget.
Calm, peaceful place just off the grove in Ilkley.
A nicely presented and maintained memorial garden with a Portland stone monument. There is also a plaque in honour of a local VC hero (Thomas Maude) and a recent memorial recognising the contribution of Great War survivors.
It was a good experience walking round Ilkleys memorial gardens. The grounds were well kept, and if the seating pavilions had been open it would have been nice to sit for a while.
A peaceful little park I hadn't really realised was there until recently despite having walked past it hundreds of times... extends over the road into an ornamental river and grass area
