A very magical place, probably Bronze age, built circa 5000 years ago. Beautiful in the snow with clear skies and perfect sunshine. Easy to find on the moor with clear and well made stone paths.

The Twelve Apostles on Ilkley Moor is a prehistoric stone circle—one of the most famous and atmospheric in West Yorkshire. The circle is believed to date from the Bronze Age, around 4,000 years old (approx. 2000–1500 BCE). It’s a bit of a trek to reach the spot but much easier now that they have laid stone paving paths. Enjoy!

A lovely scenic area of Ilkley Moor It's sat on the high moorland and easy to get to via the Prow, extensive views The stones are not particularly high, but evidence suggests it's from the Bronze Age, worth a visit

A historic landmark up on the hill at Ilkley moor. There’s a stone in the centre and twelve around it in a circle. They’re supposed to represent twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. The place is really scenic especially if the weather is good. The view of Ilkley is superb from the hiking trail. However do check the weather before going as winds can be harsh up there. There are more than one paths/trails to reach the area, each one different length and different ascend.
