Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club

Description

Established in 1880 the ILTSC enjoys a scenic position next to the river in the Wharfe valley with views of the famous Ilkley Moor. Over the generations the Club has grown into a multi-sports community club focused on its primary sports of tennis, squash and racketball. It is rapidly growing as the premier fitness facility in the area with facilities that are second to none.  There are:

• 5 indoor tennis courts
• 6 all-weather outdoor courts
• 14 grass courts
• 5 top grade squash courts (including 3 glass-backed show courts
• a fitness suite with the very latest in equipment and a comprehensive range of classes

In addition, the club has a large cafe bar which is very much the social centre of the club.

As one of the premier clubs in the country ILTSC also host a number of top class tournaments in both tennis and squash each year and have very strong links with the LTA, the All England Club, and England Squash and Racketball.

The ILTSC also hosts the Aegon Ilkley Trophy, an Aegon GB Pro-Series event for both professional men and women; part of the ITF Pro Circuit & ATP Challenger Tour and the highest ranking tennis tournament ever to be held in Yorkshire. This year’s event takes place from Saturday 11 – Sunday 19 June 2016.
