An unscreened extra episode Saving our Wild Isles on BBC iPlayer shows how people like Yorkshire Dales farmer Neil Heseltine are actively working to restore nature.

Neil is chair of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and deputy chair of National Parks England, and on his 1,200-acre farm at Malham he demonstrates to the TV show that a successful farm business can work with nature, not against it, allowing biodiversity to flourish.
“This is one of our most beloved landscapes, shaped by nature and centuries of farming it epitomises our image of a green and pleasant land.”
David Attenborough – BBC Wild Isles
