•This fantastic photo of a murmuration of starlings was taken by Alan Whitehead at the bird watching site: North Duffield Carrs, next to the River Derwent, near Selby.

The starlings themselves form a bridge in the their flight.
The North Duffield Carrs site is setup for birdwatching and should you wish to follow in the footsteps of fellow birders, you can do so with the following directions: the car park is located 3/4 mile east of North Duffield, just off the A163. The two hides can be accessed by a short walk north along a gravelled track opposite Bubwith Ings.
