Coach House Country Pub

I had a chicken parmo (if I'm recalling the name right) which was delicious and one of the best things I've eaten in a while. For dessert I had some cookie dough which was also delicious, not too sickly and full of flavour. The staff were extremely nice and food was out relatively quickly. The dining area was clean and overall a very good meal.

Couldn’t rate this place highly enough. We have visited 3 times in 3 years, and in this time not one of us (group of 6/7) have had a bad meal. Decent sized portions and all very tasty. Tonight we attended on my daughter’s birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make it special for her. We provided a cake and they provided excellent service making it a lovely surprise for her. Highly recommend!

Amazing service! Amazing service from the tall girl (sorry I didn’t get her name) and the blonde lady was lovely too — I actually messed up my daughter’s order, but she sorted it out straight away and even gave us the extra order for free. Can’t fault the service, really lovely staff!

After visiting Flamingo Land for the day we visited the Coach House (on the Flamingo Land site) for some good grub and it did not disappoint. We sat in the outdoor area which had patio heaters and a nice fresh air feel, which given it was quite cold outside was refreshing. The food itself came pretty quick; I had the chicken parmo and the other half the scampi and some onion rings on the side. The chicken parmo was excellent and was packed full of flavour, complemented with a chilli sauce which didn’t have too much bite. The scampi was well cooked and the onion rings weren’t too dry or too soggy which you often find at “pub-style” establishments. The only let down was the dressing on the salad that came with the parmo was overly vinegary. You might ask why I’m giving this a 4 star over a 5? A chap working there, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, just did not seem interested at all. Also, In the tub that the condiments and cutlery came in was not one but two open packets of salt. Definitely would recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt- hopefully the little bits have improved for next time! ** EDIT IN ADDITION ** I actually wanted the Sunday dinner at first, but we were told that among quite a few other things were off the menu, and it was only mid-day!

Went for Sunday lunch today. It’s been refurbished since we last visited and it looks amazing. Very reasonably priced, they haven’t tried to take advantage of a captive audience, which is great. The Sunday lunch was beautiful! Huge home-made Yorkshire pudding and loads of meat. The kids meal was a great size and very well presented. Well worth a visit.
