The car park is very well maintained with clearly marked bays. There is a map at the entrance to the woods and the paths are sign posted. I really enjoyed reading the information plaques on the trail. The trails are vertiginous in places and slippery in the rain but you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views. Opposite is a second less arduous trail through more open woodland.

Nice walk, lovely river walk and easy parking albeit a little small.

Small but marked out car park, fills quickly. Be careful parking on the roadside or small parking area opposite, there's another off road parking area 15mins walk (safer through the wood opp) away.

Hackfall Woods is an amazing place. Free parking. Great walks long or short. Fantastic scenery with some history and ruins to find. Well posted with different colour walks to follow. Great for dogs and plenty of streams, woodlands, shade, odd benches to sit down on. The only thing I would say, is there is no bins anywhere not even In the carpark but apart from that, it's an amazing place to visit

Beautiful walk through some fantastic scenery. Some good steep climbs but well worth it. Folly's, castle, and even saw a dipper on the stream. Lovely walk!
