R&J Yorkshire's Finest Farmers & Butchers

First they imposed a £100 minimum order for delivery, and now they’ve stopped delivering altogether for December. Honestly, dealing with this company has been nothing but a waste of time.

Ordered a selection of steaks, all properly dry aged as advertised unlike some of the absolute trash being offered online. The T Bones in particular were excellent.

Hesitant to post this review as part of me wants to keep them to myself!! First heard of R&J after visiting Northcote in 2023 and talking to Lisa G-A about where her great produce came from. Being a proud Yorkshire lass myself, I was thrilled that they were somewhat local to me, wrote down the name and thought I’d check them out. Obviously, I lost the paper and couldn’t remember the name so have been randomly ordering from farms across Yorkshire! Fast-forward almost 18 months and I went to my local pub for their steak night where I had THE most delicious 10oz ribeye. Asked the chef where he got his beef and lo and behold, it was the same place! Checked out the website and they didn’t quite have the same cut but called and the lovely lady on the phone was so helpful. A week or so later and I was in possession of some top notch, restaurant quality steaks and THE tastiest chicken I have had in many a year. Everything arrived packaged well and vacuum packed and my guests have all asked where the produce came from as were all impressed with the quality and taste. Cannot recommend highly enough. Only wish I’d had the opportunity to take photographs, but they were gone so quickly that I never got the chance!

My Order with R & J online was simple and easy. The produced arrived a few days later and an item was missing, I spoke with a lady on the phone and this was rectified at once and the next perfectly packaged meat arrived with ice blocks plus a gift of a dozen pork sausages. I was not expecting the gift as it was a simple mistake. Well done R & J, for excellent customer service and the steaks and sausages are top quality. I will be back soon to make another order. 5 stars all round.
