This was NOT a good experience. Ordered one of the chef’s specials Crispy Beef. Assumed the meal came with rice or noodles it doesn’t! The beef was not crispy in fact very chewy with a strange taste that I do not associate with this favourite dish of mine. Also, it is beef in a sauce, that’s it, no vegetables like peppers, carrots, onions etc as depicted in the photos in the shop. In mitigation of the take away, this was our first experience so possible an “off night” but first impressions last - sorry. C. Nicklin
The best Chinese I have ever been to. No doubt. The food is delicious and it is served to you really fast. The food is fresh and their is a ton of variety. I had the sweet and sour mixed balls with a side of chips. Felt like eating out with a price of only £9. Value
Have had some fantastic meals from here. Can recommend the salt and pepper king prawns, prawn toast, chicken with ginger and spring onions. Lots of vegetarian options too. Their crispy duck with pancakes is gorgeous. All delicious and highly recommended.
When I phoned and was told my whole order would be ready in ten minutes I should have known this was not going to be fresh, too fast! The chicken was cubed and so very dry. Pre-frozen. The spring rolls resembled those you buy from supermarkets, and tasted like them too. No large pancake rolls available, just dry little rolls of cardboard. The quality was poor. Such an expensive meal. If you come from a city like York, or large town be prepared for the rural Ryedale rip off! You pay for your chips and rice separately too the meal! Oh and don’t expect the complimentary prawn crackers, as a thank you. I will be travelling that bit further for my Chinese fix in future, it’s worth the extra ten miles for decent, good value food.
Never been before , thought I’d try it , wish I hadn’t bothered. Nice people who run it ,but food so disappointing. The chicken in my meal was those frozen processed pieces all the same size I couldn’t eat it , it was like fake slimy chicken 🤮 Also curry sauce not flavourful just sweet and bland , chips and rice tasted old and stale , threw it all in bin. I wish I’d bought a ready meal from supermarket. Place seemed busy though.
