Moorside Store

I've been parking in the Kirkbymoorside market place for well over a year and went into The Moorside Store for the first time today. More fool me. Should've been before. They have an amazing range of 'bag it yourself ' products - all those things you might want for that special recipe but don't want to buy a great big chain store sized package. And spices too. A decent range of individual packs plus some ready mixed kits I've never seen before. They look really authentic. I actually went in looking for an alternative to buying yet more generic cola based cold drinks. Their raspberry lemonade is to die for. It's not cheap, but then neither is Diet Coke these days. At 700ml, however, it's not finished in thirty seconds either. I will definitely shop there again.

Stepped in to grab a handful of essentials on Saturday, ready for a summer holiday break at an AirBnB in nearby Levisham. Didn't want to spend in the bigger shops while we're away, so stopped here instead of the Pickering Lidl. SO glad that I did, what an amazing shop! All the basics needed to tick over the first couple of mornings, and a staggering selection of delights from which to choose - whether for other meals we'll make up here, or to take back home. Hopefully I'll get a chance to swing by again before heading home, but if not I'll make sure to go out of my way next time I'm up around these parts (presuming there won't be a 2nd branch magically open in Nottingham any time soon 🤭).

Friendly and very helpful people and very good produce. Has a section at the back for loose stuff. You can also get unusual goods such as coconut flour🥴, amazing. I highly recommend this store.

A wonderful old style store that has a wide range of foodstuffs that you don't normally find anywhere else! Pork scratchings by the self-weigh bag!
