The Peace Pole made by the scout community and other groups stands in the Millennium Garden alongside the church. It was placed on 5 October 2013 by 1st Kirkbymoorside Scout Group. The pole is made from a Yorkshire gatepost and is inscribed with the phrase, "May peace prevail on earth" in the following languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Polish and Yorkshire. Eeee, by 'eck, needs to be in Russian too....
