A dog friendly establishment with great service and delicious food. The staff were happy and attentive and you almost felt like you had been invited into a friend's living room for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Really pleasant. Prices seemed, at first, to be a little on the hefty side but the portions were filling and absolutely delicious. Simple ingredients, well sourced and well cooked. Hats off to the entire team. Table service was great and the whole establishment was spotlessly clean. The only thing worth mentioning that may be a problem to some is that the toilets are reached by going outside and up a couple of small sets of stairs! A pity but not a lot you can do when the building is built into a cliff! The location is one of the best along the river, pretty much central to all amenities and a stones throw from the main steps down from the castle. Perfect All in all, really good and would definitely recommend. I shall be returning myself!

Visited on a Friday so quiet when we arrived. Managed to get a table outside and watched the world go by. Only had a bit of toast and a cup of tea, but always worth visiting this great little cafe. Highly recommend

Overall a mediocre breakfast ..... best was a great mushroom and egg...however hash brown was luke warm and the toast was anaemic looking with butter just blobbed in the middle a stingy portion of beans ! And worst of all 1 rasher of bacon and sausage for £12.90 as a local tour guide ive had far better full English breakfasts for £6.00 and these have included fried bread 2 toast and refillable tea !!! Oh and £3 for a can of coke zero is scandalous. Overall the place seemed to be run by mature school kids all the lads was in the back congregating and the 2 main workers young lasses polite seemed to be doing all the work ...and overrun by dogs !!! cafe was cold also 🥶 but was nice and clean and tidy plus point.

Had two lovely breakfasts here, great food, service and dog friendly! Food came fairly fast and good value. Highly recommend for beautiful views overlooking the river from the outdoor seats!
