Outstanding food and delicious coffee. Staff were friendly and efficient despite the New Years Day rush - we ordered a bacon sandwich but received a full english breakfast instead. Couldn't have been nicer about it. Offered to remake it and refund the difference, although we didn't need to as my sister was more than happy with the error. The least you expect when they make a mistake I suppose but it was well handled and not unexpected with the rush. Well deserved rush too, lovely cosy atmosphere inside but so full we had to sit outside in the courtyard which is why I rated 4 stars for atmosphere. Bit too chilly in January and echoey when full (especially with kids). Not their fault. Brilliant café.
Good coffee. Great service. Delicious food. The mushrooms goes so well with tart tomatoes 🍅 portions are generous. Lovely local cafe!
Three options as far as where to sit, in front of store, insight or at the back in the courtyard. We sat in the courtyard, it was a bit crowded and there was a stream of people passing us to go to other shops and the nearby toilet. The service was good, the food was tasty, I had scrambled eggs on toast and a cappuccino. Twice someone came by to ask if everything was to our liking, personally I like that approach. My wife enjoyed our time at Cafe Di Lucca.
Very poor experience. 5 of us had to wait 45 minutes for food (2 soup, 2 club sandwiches, 1 fish goujon sandwich, + fries). The glasses were dirty, the club sandwiches should have come with red onion chutney, but had none. When requested we were given branston. Asked again to be told there was no red onion chutney so gave us a tiny pot of white onion relish. Cheese wasn’t melted and very sparse and the sandwich was luke warm. Should have said there was no relish when we ordered. Never asked if we needed condiments, asked for ketchup, given 3 tiny sachets. The goujon sandwich had a rogue item in it that looked like a dirty brown chicken nugget. Great for someone who doesn’t eat chicken!! The staff were miserable, and clearly didn’t want to be there. Appreciate its christmas markets and is busy, but the whole experience was miserable and not what we expected at all. £60 for that was a joke! We’ll just go to Subway or Greggs next time!
Service from young lad on Sunday was really good at serving. We ordered 2 teas a Fanta and iced coffee 2 sausage sandwiches, soup and a jacket with cheese and beans and it came to ÂŁ48 we think that's really expensive. The sausage sandwiches came with salad and coleslaw which we would rather price be slightly cheaper than this.
