As other folk have mentioned, it's a decent sized bowl but the amount of warm soup you actually receive isn't worth the £5.95, on reflection I should have handed it back to spend another minute in the saucepan. Their toilet could do with a quick wipe around, maybe their cleaner needs to go to Specsavers .... Plus there was nothing to dry your hands on ! 🥺
Stopped in for a quick bite while working locally. The two members of staff that served me were lovely. Attentive service, food and drink was served in very good time. Nice atmosphere. The only slight downside was the portion size of the toastie, it was very tasty however a few crisps and a side salad on the plate would’ve made it 5 stars for what you pay for. Slice of the lemon drizzle was absolutely delicious but a tad dry. Overall a great little place I’d definitely pop back into when visiting Knaresborough again. :)
Lovely little café with a warm, welcoming vibe. The two women who served me were not only friendly and attentive but also absolutely lovely, which made the whole experience even better. Great service, great atmosphere, and I’ll definitely be back. There really is no place like home.
We were disappointed with the food here. My husband had a cheese toastie. I thought the lady had misheard me and just brought toast. I had mushroom soup, but I didn't like it,so gave my husband it. I then bought a jam donut which was lovely.
My husband and I dropped in last Friday for lunch and shelter from the wind and rain. Received a warm welcome in all respects. The ownwe, Dorothy, and her assistant couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. My soup and toastie were delicious and my husband's poached eggs, cooked to order, were perfect. Would thoroughly recommend and would certainly revisit if we were back in the area. Thank you, ladies.
