Stunning pub in Knaresborough, I had the turkey Sunday roast with sticky toffee pudding and it was delicious!! Staff were very friendly and the food came super quick, I’d highly recommend!

Went for a Sunday lunch and had pre poked a table. We had a table next to a large group and it was a bit noisy but not too bad. The service was fab and very efficient, not too long to wait. Roast dinners and cauliflower cheese and a lamb tagine were ordered, all of them delicious. No room for dessert for any of us though. Second time we've been for Sunday lunch and would recommend it. The parking is in the public car parks.

Food overpriced not fresh I go out to eat to experience something different not what I can cook better at home we ordered meat balls which were like bullets ,squid which was straight out the freezer no garnish ie chilli coriander not even fresh squid but asking £10 ! Triple cooked chips !! Not even cooked in the middle hard as nails but I had to pay £6 for that , the only decent thing was monkfish scampi but as I say once again was from the freezer ! Cook fresh and what’s available also a friend of ours a dish which cost £20 and was tasteless but to be informed we have sold a lot of these today and not taking on board the criticism . One other thing me and my friend wanted jack Daniel’s and coke but he had none but he had different bourbon but he didn’t say it will cost more he just poured it and it cost £30 for 2 doubles and the bottle you can buy for £38 in a supermarket ! To sum up this is why I don’t go out to eat as always disappointed !

Nice little spot with staff who are very helpful. We went with a big party and think we pushed them to their limits with the amount of servings they could do at once. But they did well and the food came out in a decent amount of time. It seemed to be all freshly prepared and tasted really good. The veggies were a little different with nice sweet carrots and parsnips. The cut of pork was different to what you often get and one I much preferred, possibly belly with some great flavour. One pork was a bit dry but others were good. We sat out the back which was a nice area that had the train station over the back so the kids got very excited every time a train pulled up which was nice. The dogs enjoyed themselves as well. All in all a very nice experience.

We made a last minute booking to go for food and the owner was really accommodating. We arrived early too but they let us go straight to our table. The food was great as well as the service. We will definitely go back.
