Such a friendly and welcoming local family coffee shop! The scones are the best I've ever had, and you can truly feel they are made with heart. A delightful spot I can't recommend enough!
A little gem of find while visiting this town with friends. A lovely old world charm cafe with friendly staff who were welcoming. I visited with four friends and we really only wanted tea but we loved the menu so much we ordered food. We had two very large pots of tea which were delivered with hot water (a lost art in the cafe business usually) We had the bacon sandwhich, soup, poached eggs, baked potato and scones. All the food was fresh and made with love. I ate the bacon sandwhich and the bacon was local and tasty I know its a simple item but it really did taste that good. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely lady serving us. The cafe has a lovely old world charm of small door ways and uneven floors and feels like you are visiting your old aunts sitting room. We had food and tea for five people and the bill came to just over £50. So a very inexpensive lunch. A lovely experience, thank you.
A great find in Knaresborough. Quaint, friendly, with quick service, reasonably priced and delicious food. The welcome was smiley, the atmosphere a touch of Old English, and the decor also. There’s an extensive cafe menu with smaller afternoon tea type snacks to full meals. ♿️The entrance is wide and at street level. There is adequate room to move around in a wheelchair to the tables, but due to the antiquity of the building there are small narrow uneven steps up to the toilets and there seemed to be no accessible facility. It was a great find as we passed through the town en route to somewhere else, and it will definitely be our first call on the same route again.
Amazing food, amazing people, dog friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend and will visit again.
A beautiful little quaint cafe with lovely decor and very nice homemade food I had the full English and to be totally truthful the sausage was the best quality wholesome meaty and bags of flavour I've ever had in a cafe regardless of where I've travelled, the staff are very pleasant. The whole experience of my visit was very worthwhile and will definitely be going again in the near future My two friends opted for the vegetarian and the hot roast pork with stuffing and both of them praised the meals.
