A lovely visit to The Old Chemist Shop in Knaresborough. Full of character and history, with a charming old-world interior. The shop has unique gifts and treats, and the café upstairs is cosy with friendly service and nice food. A real gem in the town centre and well worth a visit.
This is a cracking little old shop. I specifically went in with the intention of finding lime chocolates to indulge in the taste of my childhood, and the shop did not disappoint. I couldn't not pick up a chocolate mouse while there, which were only 99p very tasty (not chocolate though, more sherberty) but all round a great little shop & definitely somewhere I'd return to.
Was visiting the town and popped in to have a browse. Very quaint shop downstairs and small tea room upstairs. Just had a pot of Yorkshire tea. Great it comes with added hot water. Bought some souvenirs from shop. Staff friendly and polite.

Visited here 26 September. Its an amazing shop selling old fashioned sweets, Yorkshire teas, Yorkshire biscuits, Yorkshire fruit cake, Yorkshire lavenders, Yorkshire tea towels, Yorkshire gifts of all types plus varying other gifts. Its so interesting to browse around in a relaxed atmosphere. I bought a carrier bag full of goodies at reasonable prices. Upstairs is the Lavender Cafe which is definately worth a visit. Would recomend and return.
