Best shop in knaresborough for a trim by a country mile. It’s a contemporary and relaxed space which feel miles ahead of most shops on the area. I go to EJ for most of my cuts these days. Always great to chat with. A lovely friendly team across the board!

Had a hair cut with EJ yesterday, he stayed open a little later then usual for me as I finished work late and needed a haircut on short notice, as I had a wedding to attend the next day; which I really appreciated. Cut my hair exactly as I wanted and had a great chat. I have had haircuts from EJ in the past and he is always positive and chatty and never disappoints with the haircuts. Will be booking with EJ in the future.

I usually turn up to the barbers expecting a decent haircut, and ive been trying to find one nearer to me. Today i went here, and i showed Tommy a picture of what i wanted. After about 25 minutes, he gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I have definitely found my regular barbers!

I have always had good haircuts and received excellent service at Tommy's Barber Shop, and I've never had a complaint about their work. However, I recently had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. During my last visit, I overheard a very disrespectful and unprofessional conversation from EJ, the barber in the right corner of the shop. EJ was cutting the hair of a customer from another ethnic group and repeatedly made negative comments about that person's country. This behavior was toxic and racist, and it significantly affected the atmosphere of the shop. As a customer, I expect to receive a haircut and have a pleasant conversation with my barber to improve my mood. Instead, I was subjected to overhearing negative, racist, and unprofessional remarks. Despite the other customer’s attempts to change the subject to something normal, EJ continued to make inappropriate comments about the customer's personal information, including their actions, weight, and religion, after having just talked negatively about the customer's country. This environment made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I believe there was no justification for such behavior. Customers should not have to endure such negativity and lack of professionalism. I strongly urge the management to address this issue with EJ, ensuring he refrains from making such remarks and maintains a professional demeanor while at work. I hope this matter is taken seriously so that all customers can enjoy a respectful and positive experience at Tommy's Barber Shop.

Gemma's gone 😭. EJ is however good and my kids hair cuts are as they want them so no complaints at all. Third younger barber there too so availability improved including Sundays, so all good.
