Morrisons Petrol Station

⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 Star I paid for a car wash at the Morrisons-branded fuel station in Harrogate (Starbeck/Plumpton Park) and the wash didn’t clean my car at all. There was no soap cycle, just a rinse, and the car came out visibly dirty. The manager, Guru, and staff member, Nikilan, both inspected the car and agreed the wash had clearly failed. What made the experience worse was the response: I was told that “40 people before you today didn’t complain,” as if that should explain why I shouldn’t be complaining - even though both staff members could physically see the car was still dirty. On top of that, I discovered that no one on-site has the authority to resolve even basic customer-facing issues. I was passed between three different companies: • Morrisons Customer Service (who said they don’t own the station), • MFG (who run the forecourt), and • Wilcomatic (who own some, but apparently not this car wash equipment). Each pointed me somewhere else. All for a simple car wash that didn’t work - and that staff agreed didn’t work. This review isn’t about the money. It’s about the principle. Customers shouldn’t have to contact three different organisations just to correct something that is obvious on-site. If employees had the authority to offer a replacement wash when the machine fails, it would save everyone a lot of time and frustration. The branding says “Morrisons,” but the accountability definitely doesn’t feel that way.

You should be lucky if you want to wash your car because many times it does not work. The hoover is taking your money and making noise but that's it, I couldn't clean my car inside with it and you can't even stop it or cancel the payment (taking card). At least you can refill your car.

I was having a very bad day and left my mobile phone on the counter at Morrisons petrol station at Hookstone Park in Harrogate- I realised two hours later and rushed back, totally convinced it had been stolen- the lovely man behind the counter verified that it was my phone before handing it back to me. I was so anxious that I forgot to ask his name but I wanted to say thank you again to him. Thank you 😊

Handy local petrol station with the usual facilities. Some pumps but not all allow pay at pump. You get Morrison More points on fuel so remember to scan your card! Has that Blue stuff, tyre air, hoover and car wash facilities. I think three tows of double sided pumps. It's my go to fuel place but mostly cos it's local and cheap.

Friendly staff. Decent place for a quick stop off.
