In Knaresborough today visiting Mother Shiptons cave. I had a craving for a pork pie for 2 days and am so glad I didn't pick the first pork pie I saw. It was after 4pm when we saw Hirsts. Hungry people outside eating from white bags as they could not wait. I have to say the best pork pie I've ever eaten, light crispy pastry, beautiful tasty pork filling and of course the right percentage of jelly. Well done Hirsts. Also me and my wife shared this pie and so we thought we deserved a.Cornsh Pasty too. It was wonderful and so tasty, served warm at this time of the day too. I will also add the staff, after what was obviously a long busy day were lovely and smiling and genuinely nice to us. Thank you Hirsts you ended a lovely day out in the best way.
