Ordered a slab of riven slate. Prompt delivery and good price. Unwrapped slate and it was pretty dirty, but signed for it as it looked superficial. After a good scrub there were three lines of adhesive across the BLACK slate that were WHITE. they were impossible to remove. I emailed and sent pictures.. Response came a week later, saying nothing they could do as I had signed for the delivery all ok. Terrible service. I would not recommend or use again. I spent hours trying everything - risking damage to my slate slab. In the end I scrapped every millimetre off bit by bit with a credit card. No solvent would work. Thanks of no advice and late response. What company sticks their packaging down with adhesive straight on the stone!!!!

Unfortunately the Brizilian riven stone we bought as a stove hearth cracked in two after only 7mths of arrival and fitting. The company refused any form of refund, stating it must be our fault the stone cracked. Please DONT use this company. We are not going down the legal route to recover costs.

Having just completed an extension, I was debating whether to have a brick or slate hearth with the fire surround I was about to install. On doing some research, I came across the slate hearths on Mrs Stone Store website. I opted for the Brazilian Black Riven slate, 54”x 18” x 30mm deep. Sooo pleased I did. It looks great with a 2 tone appearance with grey and black shading. I sealed with their stone oil following a discussion with their very helpful member of staff John Swindells. Delivery was prompt and their carrier got the very heavy slate into our garage until my builders placed it into the extension.

We decided on the Minster Beige Sandstone Hearth for our new fireplace and we are thrilled with the product. It is a quality product and has the natural look and feel we wanted. The palletised delivery was also easy and straightforward to arrange. Would recommend.

We were looking for tiles to make a feature wall mounted behind timber roof frames and Mrs Stone Store came to our rescue with 3d split faced crystal tiles in grey. The different colours of grey within the tiles look fantastic and with the hidden led lighting the crystal sparkles shine brilliantly. We fully recommend Mrs Stone Store for their great service, website and ease of ordering process. We couldn't be happier with the end result.
