The Team at the Bank View Cafe is proud of the food we serve. Home cooking is central to our menu and we believe that great food shouldn’t cost the earth. We always source local produce where possible. That’s why we use local free range eggs and hand cut our chips using potatoes from only 3 miles away! Try our famous cream tea- the scone recipe has been handed down from owner to owner CHILD FRIENDLY- high chairs, books and toys, safe play area in garden WIFI- Get work done while you’re on the road FREE NEWSPAPERS and books to browse as you rest by the fire. CARPARK- easy access, plenty of room GARDEN- We serve food to our lovely enclosed garden HOMEMADE jams, pickles and local Honey for sale LOCAL ARTISTS have photos and artwork for sale at the cafe Pete and Helen with our 3 little Sparkles. We bought the Cafe in 2007- though it has been going for a lot longer- Some of our customers remember coming here during the war ! It was originally built when the Reservoir was under construction and served as the village shop for years. Over the years it built up a faithful following of fans who come time and time again for our quality food.
