2 seperate parking areas available just off the road. One at Bank Top Kilns and the other opposite the path that leads to Ana Cross. Flat easy walk, with great views of the area.
Just a cross in the middle of the moor. Makes a great photo, a good waypoint if you are crossing the moor, and also a good place for mobile phone reception.
At this time of year Ana Cross is surrounded by beautiful purple Heather and is a photographer’s dream sunrise or sunset great views from any angle well worth a visit even if you don’t take pictures
Lovely surroundings of moorland and good well worn tracks leading to the cross and beyond.
Not as old as you might think. Replaced a medieval cross was removed to the crypt of Lastingham Church in 1949
