Surprisingly calm and silent at the city centre, just opposite to City Square and near train station. Worth taking a few minutes sitting down, refreshing the spirit and let the body rest.
First time visit to see Kristen Hersch. Beautiful venue for an acoustic concert. Great acoustics. Beautiful building itself.
Attended with my elderly dad who has Parkinson's for the giving voice carol concert. We were made to feel extremely welcome and we enjoyed the concert and hot chocolate although had to respectfully decline the free shot of baileys as i was driving π
A nice chapel tucked away within the heart of Leeds. The architecture is interesting and it is nice to find historical buildings hidden within modern shopping centres and buildings.
I don't usually write reviews, but after recently writing a great review for a church in Lincoln that actually restored my faith, I thought I'd write a review here: A few years ago I saw that this church was open to all. I had some time to kill and decided to go inside and look around, I'd have passed this church hundreds of times and had always been curious. Anyway, I go inside and I see it's some sort of event for refugees or whatnot. That's not what the 1 star is in relation to. I was met with nothing but pure seething hatred from the organisers of the event. Some old gentleman snarkily asking "Why are *you* here?" When I said I wanted to look around as its open and I've never been inside "You know Google exists, you could just uh look it up?" Absolutely disgusting and appalling behaviour. I don't know if he was there for an event or runs the place, I don't know, all I know is this single event put me off of faith until I found myself at a better, kind and more approachable church. This might not even run as a church anymore, I'm not sure, so before the owner or organisor responds with "Erm this isn't a church" the mere fact I was hit with such seething dismissive and spiteful behaviour put me off.
