It a lovely church, inside and out. I visited on Heritage week in October I think. It about time to see this building, as I used to live around that area and see and go past this church alot. Landmark of that area.
my parents were married here on July 15th 1944. Marguerite Tutte to James Turner.
An absolute glorious Church, a grand fantastic size and interior, with wonderful decoration, acoustics. After visiting here for the first time to a good friends funeral, made me want to revisit again sometime. I highly recommend this Church.
"SAINT AIDAN'S PARISH CHURCH 2024" The recent abhorrent violent disorder in the local area is 'totally unacceptable', in a democratic society.. Thugs violently attacking an overturned police vehicle, recorded on video.. Thugs setting light to a double decker bus with cigarette lighters, recorded on video.. Undoubtedly you will realise the extent of your insane behaviour, watched with contempt by people around the world.. We are told that Social Services and Local Police took children away from a family in the area as a "baby" sustained a non accidental injury, the "baby" is said to have been thrown out of a window.. Local Police with drew from the violent scenes for hours as a £million of damage occured, responsible residents were left defenceless against the abhorrent violent mobsters.. The recent abhorrent violent disorder in the local area is 'totally unacceptable', in a democratic society.. "SAINT AIDAN'S PARISH CHURCH 2024"..
Two refugees were there on 25.07.2023. an old person 70+ y.o. with a little child. They were given 1 (one) plate with potatoes without any🍴fork!, 1 (one) small bottle of juice, 1 (one) burger and 3 strawberries for TWO persons. Everything was eaten by the child except a burger. More over there was a lot of different food, cakes, juice and ice cream. But when the old person asked about some more food or cake for child she got an answer that you had enough. Although old person noticed that the other people got everything what they asked and even more than enough so they got different items of food, put in the large bags to take them home. Hopefully they were not treated like it because they were the only white in the church at that time but it looks like it was the cause of the workers "hospitality" of this lunch club.
