Leeds Grand Mosque

Assalamu Alaikum, I am a resident of Dubai. My kids go to Jamia Masjid Gousia Leeds UK, every Saturday and Sunday to learn Arabic with my wife. We are asylum seekers in the UK. I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding Imam. I have heard that he interfered in my family matters, gave wrong advice to my wife, and was inviting people to bakers. Such actions are not the role or responsibility of an Imam. This situation has caused my family to feel unsafe, and I am worried about the safety of even Allah’s house in the masjid. If my family is not safe, then I question where safety can be found in the world. Jamia Masjid Gousia Trustee and community responsibility to keep distance between imam and Ladies, Imam Sharing contact details with ladies this is not good I kindly request Jamia Masjid Gousia Community to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action. Beautiful mosque in a great location. Great atmosphere. Space for several hundred, and a separate sisters section. Parking for about 20-30 cars.

In a terrible location. Creates traffic and congestion on already crowded streets. I'd suggest they move their entrance to Woodsley road before the council forces them to.

Clean, tidy grand mosque. The facilities are complete, There’s place for ladies prayer and parking area. The location is strategic, easy to be accessed

I recently passed through Leeds and had the opportunity to stop at the mosque for prayers. It was a truly peaceful experience. The mosque is clean, well-maintained, and has a serene atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The community was very welcoming and respectful, which made me feel right at home even as a visitor. A beautiful place to reconnect spiritually may it continue to be a source of guidance and peace for all.
