Visited July 2022 for a graduation ceremony. Well organised and the shade was welcome on one of the hottest days of the year.

Beckett Café is a fantastic spot to grab a coffee and relax. The staff are friendly, the coffee is great, and the food is fresh and affordable. Plenty of seating makes it perfect for studying or catching up with friends. Highly recommend!

I paid £3.50 for up to 3 hours parking at Rose Bowl surface car park in August 2024 at 19:25. I referred to the parking notice board next to the parking ticket machine and correctly followed the instructions. It took me 2 minutes to park my car, walk to the parking machine, pay for the ticket and receive a receipt. I placed my ticket at the front of my car so it's clear and visible through the window. My car was parked at Rose Bowl for 2 hours and 35 minutes. I am surprised that I received a £100 parking charge in the post around a week later. This caused me confusion, stress and anxiety. I am an organised person and I always save my receipts. I appealed online soon after receiving the charge. Appealing online has no cost and is more quick and reliant. Appealing online is not clear and simple, however I managed to fill in an online appeals form and upload my evidence. Hours later I received an email confirmation that my appeal has gone through. Around 2 weeks later I received my appeal response confirming that the charge has now been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due. They further wrote "We understand that receiving a Parking Charge Notice may be inconvenient, however, issuing Parking Charges for breaches of the parking terms and conditions at this car park is necessary to ensure a better overall parking experience for all users of the facilities. To avoid potential future inconvenience, we would kindly request you follow the parking terms and conditions displayed on the signage throughout the car park. " In response to their letter, firstly it IS an INCONVENIENCE! Secondly I followed the parking rules and paid correctly. Finally I did not breach their terms and conditions. I received no apology whatsoever from them. After this experience I will hesitate to park at Rose Bowl Carpark again. I have parked at this Carpark twice before, during the day and not had any problems so I have given 2 stars for that. I advice everyone to save their parking tickets and receipts.
