I booked for a table of 6 and glad that I had pre booked as the restaurant was heaving and full of Chinese people, which is a testament to it being authentic Cantonese food. There were lots of staff on site so we got really fast service and the food came out surprisingly fast and still steaming. We went for dimsum as I heard that it served dimsum now. I was worried it wasn't nice but it was absolutely delicious and one of the best I've had in Leeds in a very long time. The seafood on the Ho fan dish and in the dimsum was really fresh. I was told that the dimsum chef freshly makes the dimsum everyday and comes into work at 5am to do this. I preferred the dimsum over the noodle and rice dishes. The price was actually really decent and considerably cheaper than dimsum elsewhere. About £15 per person and we had a lot of food. The salty egg bao was really runny and has the correct texture. I can't wait to schedule another dinner date to come. Better to go with a big group so that I can order everything 🤭 the only thing I'd mark it down a little for would be the squid cakes which had coriander in but very mild. Also very pleased that it had the "croquettes" ham shui gwoks there, one of my favourites, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside and very tasty filling. Also the traditional siumai was good. I didn't get to try the har gau prawn dumpling but I didn't have the prawn and scallop one which was nice. Also wanted to make sure people know that this is G-woo in moortown and not to be confused with g-wu bramhope!

What a lovely, authentic restaurant. Delicious, freshly prepared, mouth watering food, presented beautifully. The service is spot on: friendly, thoughtful, helpful & well timed. The decor is perfect with the classic lazy susans on tables which our kids love. Both the drinks & food menus are extensive, you will be spoilt for choice. We have tried plenty of different items every time we've visited and have yet to find anything we didn't enjoy thoroughly. The scallops & lobster are especially stunning and generally portions are quite generous. Total treat, highly recommend, look forward to returning! Thanks so much :)

This place was absolutely TOP NOTCH. The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh, delicious, perfect. The service was superb with a brilliant team. We were very well looked after. The choice on the menu was excellent with many dishes to suit all tastes and preferences. Very good vegetarian and vegan options. The cutlery and crockery were very high quality which is a nice touch. We had a really good time. The price is very good value for the high quality meal and service. G-Woo was fab!

The recent renovation and the new management—from a renowned ex-restaurant in Leeds City Centre—have elevated the dining experience. The dim sum offers an authentic Hong Kong taste at an affordable price. Service was friendly, and the venue was notably clean and quiet. With a small car park and a nearby bus stop, the location is convenient. Highly recommended for a repeat visit.

You said there would be 20% off for paying cash in the first two weeks, but that’s not true. You only waived the service charge — there was no 20% discount. Also, the dry-fried ho fun we ordered had no wok hei at all. If that’s the case, we don’t need to order any stir-fried dishes next time. We can skip the stir-fried ho fun. Another thing is the seating upstairs — it’s really cramped. Maybe it’s just me, but it felt so tight that I could barely pass through. The tables are placed too close to each other. I understand it’s a new opening, but there were quite a lot of issues. We waited for an hour and a half, and there were several mistakes: missing orders, wrong orders, and some items ended up not coming at all. We didn’t get certain dishes we ordered. Still, we understand that it’s normal for a restaurant to have problems when it first opens. We hope things will improve.
