“Brød“: The Norwegian and Danish word for bread. I’ve gotta say I appreciate the pop of colour this place provides (alongside the Thai place next door)! I’ve popped in a couple times and even ate a sandwich or two from them- delicious and a large enough serving I can save some for later after a full lunch. Would recommend the snickers brownie and the people who work there are very friendly and sweet, delectable even. 🧛‍♀️ Ps. I look forward to the day hot chocolate is added to the menu ☕️

Brød is pretty much a Leeds institution but it's one I've neglected for a while so when Chef Jono from V&V included a great review in one of his Instagram posts recently I realised it has been too long. The first thing you notice is it seems very busy, don't be put off by a queue, most folk are just outside waiting for their order to be freshly made becausethe interior is quite snug. It doesn't take long so just tag onto the end. I went for the same Tandoori Chicken (with onion bhaji, salad, mint raita and mango chutney) in cheese & chilli bread as I'd been influenced by online, it was as good as reported. Lots of flavour, loads of chicken and lovely fresh bread. My willpower was broken (it's not hard) by the choice of brownies and I couldn't resist trying the cookie dough version, perfectly gooey and decadent. Service was super polite and really efficient too, a must-try if you're not a regular already.

A great little sandwich shop with a good selection of sandwiches using quality ingredients. You can choose your bread from a selection behind the counter. It's a very small shop which gets very busy, so whenever I've been, I've had to queue but it moves quickly. They ask you to wait outside once you've ordered then bring your sandwich out within a couple of minutes or so. It's not particularly cheap, but it's worth paying for quality. Oh and the brownies are fantastic!
