Absolutely love this place. A beautiful place to sit and relax, people watching whilst enjoying a coffee. Staff are fabulous. They off free drinking water which is a nice touch. The cafe itself is simply stunning. Steeped in history. Beautiful mosaic tiles, fabulous huge picture windows. Easy to lose yourself here for a couple of hours

Undoubtably one of the best cafés in the world. The staff are friendly they know how to make good coffee as water you can listen to regular play in the piano. Outside of Paris or Vienna, I don’t think you can get better. Some of the best stuff I’ve ever the pleasure to be around in particular when it’s leaving time the guy asks you about your well-being and if everything‘s okay it’s unbelievable. Located within one of the world’s best art galleries we are lucky to have this place long mate continue.

Coffee is fine. Food dismal - meagre selection of stingy prepackaged sandwiches and toasties. Menu mentioned a daily hot food option but apparently unavailable. You would think that they could manage a jacket potato. Staff not very communicative, seemed a bit nonplussed when we tried to order. Venue is beautiful of course. Often very busy. Some people clearly loiter here all day which I guess is fine but doesn't really support the cafe. Finally, you would think that they might have the heating on for a cold sleeting January day in Leeds but alas the radiators were stone cold. Could be so much better.

The art gallery cafe is fabulous and a lovely place to relax. The food is good but needs more vegetarian and savoury options. The cake selection is good though! One thing that that I find annoying that can easily be changed is the servers that won't bring cutlery to the tables. When you are visiting solo with bags/coats etc and sat far away, the server brings food to the table but asks you to get your cutlery from the front... Well I can't just leave all my stuff here can I? Including my food! There are thieves who try to bag snatch etc in the gallery so the servers should really bring cutlery with the food to avoid this issue.
