Had the most beautiful meal and complimentary dessert at the Aaghar. The atmosphere was very relaxing and cosy. The food was outstanding and I would highly recommend all reading this to head down ASAP. You will be made to feel extremely welcomed. Thanks to Moby for been extra attentive and Naeem for his professionalism and kindness. Regards and Merry Christmas to all. Leanna and Alan
Really like this restaurant. Unfortunately this time my butter chicken was tasteless could not eat it because it was so bland. Saying that everyone else's food was really good and tasty. We had garlic naans three different pilau rice's. Meat kharai, sha jahan and lamb madras they were very tasty. The chips here are really good.
The atmosphere was calm, cool and welcoming. The welcome we received from all staff was everything, I absolutely loved it. The food was great, you can eat as much as you want for less. I particularly loved the rice, chicken and the fish. The dessert was complimentary for us and unfortunately I don’t know the name but I tell you the best was saved for the last because I loved it (you can check my pictures for the dessert). You have to pay extra for your drinks. It was a really lovely time there and I’d definitely be visiting again. I recommend! You may book for a group as large as 10, we all had a lovely evening. Food is halal (for Muslims)
I didn’t often review places but as a business owner I felt like this review was needed so they can improve. Where do I start with this place. It looks really good inside. I Arrived with my girlfriend and checked in and was told to sit down. Nobody came round and asked us if we wanted a drink. Once we finally got our table and was asked, do you want any drinks, the guy seemed nice but couldn’t understand what drink we wanted, they were very simple and on the menu, we had to get him to bring a Menu, to show him which one we wanted by pointing. We also got some poppadoms and he rushed off. Once he returned 5/10 mins later after the poppadoms had already arrived, we had to ask him to get some side plates, so we could eat them. The drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive aswell. We then sat there for a long period of time maybe 30/40 minutes and I had to get another server to order our food. When the food arrived it was the wrong item. I asked for a chicken Kharai and a lamb one arrived. I was happy to keep this but he Insisted to get it right and it came quickly after. The food did arrive fairly quickly once ordered. When we ordered the food, we also order ordered some more drinks. They came back 3 times to confirm, that my girlfriend wanted a white rum and coke. They then got her the drink but didn’t get mine for some time. When my beer did arrive 15 mins later I had seen the staff just pouring bottom of the barrel foamy beer from a big water container into my glass. The pint didn’t taste great at all and they did this with a lot of peoples pints, so I can’t image they were good pints either. From where we were sat you could see the beers being poured or not as the case may be. The were clearly near the end of the barrel and poured multiple pints and then mixed the half pints to make full pints. The result was a poor tasting pint. Where I will give them credit the food did come quickly and whilst I wasn’t blown away by my kharai bur my girlfriends butter chicken was really good, the rice and nan were also really tasty. To round the night off I had to ask for the bill 2/3 times and when it did arrive, it was wrong. It was supposed to be £80 and it was £149.00. The final thing it’s not a massive thing but you’re leaving and nobody said thank you or have a good night. This obviously isn’t required but it leaves a good lasting impression to come back again. To sum up the experience the food was good and the butter chicken was really tasty but the staff need to up their game massively, as the service really let the evening down. It almost sounds unbelievable the amount of things that happened and I don’t like to slate company’s, as I know things happen as I own my own but the staff were beyond terrible and need some proper training.
Came here with 3 of my friends. Bought chicken wings which was off , asked for kebabs they didn’t have it and got prawns instead which was half cooked. Wasn’t expecting this. Main course was bad aswell. Please change the chef .
