I had an absolutely incredible dining experience here last Saturday! From start to finish, everything was handled with such professionalism and care. First, a huge thank you to Hang, the manager. We had a specific seating request, and Hang’s excellent arrangement made our evening seamless. Our server, Joseph, was the absolute star of the show. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and timed everything perfectly. Joseph’s recommendations were spot on, and he made us feel like we were his only table despite the restaurant being busy. The food was delicious, but it’s the top-tier service from Joseph and Hang that will definitely bring us back. Highly recommend!
TL;DR: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 - an absolute must if you're in Leeds. There are now two things I genuinely want in life: 1. more Bob Dylan concerts in Leeds, just so I have an excuse to travel and eat at Blue Pavilion, and 2. a London branch of Blue Pavilion, so I don’t need Bob Dylan as an excuse. I’m not even a huge Chinese-food person, nor would anyone mistake me for a “foodie,” yet every single dish here was exquisite. Perfectly balanced flavours, generous portions (some arguably too generous, IMO), and that rare feeling that the kitchen takes pride in what they’re sending out. This was also the first time I truly understood the meaning of umami - courtesy of a chilli dipping sauce that was served next to the soy. One taste and… wow. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like spicy food. The service was warm, attentive, and professional - without being stiff. The interior is, IMO, tastefully designed and surprisingly calming - a genuinely pleasant space to spend an evening. In a life filled with questionable culinary decisions, this meal was a shining exception for me. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in Leeds - ideally for another sublime Bob Dylan concert, but honestly, Blue Pavilion alone is reason enough to make the trip.
Great dining experience, very attentive and professional staff and delicious food with superb presentation. Set menus are great option for sharing. Main menu with individual dishes are a bit overpriced in my option.
everything about this place is amazing, the food/drinks are top notch & so filling, the service is exceptional & I want to personally thank Joseph for being our waiter for the evening, from the day of showing us around & confirming our private room for us to guiding us with all the best drinks & foods we can try on the evening, you was honestly amazing & i had the best time celebrating my 21st! the atmosphere & design of the place is divine, i wouldn't recommend this place enough! thankyou for having us💖
⭐☆☆☆☆ – Disappointing Experience at Blue Pavilion, Leeds I had high expectations when visiting Blue Pavilion, given its reputation and pricing, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. For the prices charged, particularly for items like the fried rice (£18), the quality and attention to detail were quite underwhelming. Service attentiveness was lacking throughout — specific requests were either overlooked or only partially addressed. I had clearly requested the fried rice to be made well done and seasoned properly, yet it arrived bland, without salt or pepper. When I returned it and asked for it to be redone, it came back only slightly improved, still lacking basic seasoning or any sense of balance in flavour and I had to waste it fully. The dim sum and tea were good. The overall dining experience felt disconnected — the visual presentation and ambience are pleasant, but the culinary execution and service quality did not match the premium pricing or expectations. For a restaurant positioned at this level, consistency, attentiveness, and respect for guests’ specific requests are essential. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on all counts.
