Fantastic freshly prepared food which was absolutely delicious! We visited mid week in December so the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We were warmly welcomed and a lovely touch was a birthday card for our son. The main menu was extensive and it all looked amazing but we opted to order from the lunch menu which looked really good. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious and beautifully presented with great attention to detail. I loved it all, especially the mango sticky rice which I had for dessert. Lovely staff! This is definitely on our list for a return visit; I would also be very happy to eat there as a solo diner. Highly recommended!

Xmas party in a private room! Our server was amazing! She had her work cut out for her. The entire party enjoyed the night. I gave the food 4 stars as it was four and half and I rounded down but the overall is 5 stars. Reason I gave four and a half is maybe the recipes weren’t to my taste compared to other Thai food I’ve had. The Tom yum was really creamy and I didn’t expect it to be so but that is their recipe and my experience is based on my personal taste not the way the food was prepared.

We had a wonderful experience today celebrating my Nan’s birthday. From start to finish, everything was impeccable. Nico, the manager, was exceptionally hospitable and professional, and the team went above and beyond to ensure the occasion felt truly special. We are very grateful for the care and attention shown to us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration. Thank you to all at Chaophraya especially Nico!!

Walking past this place to our hotel we knew we had to give it a try and so glad we did. For a Monday night it was fairly busy but staff seated us immediately. To start we went with the Crispy Pork Belly with the sweet soy dip which was incredible. For mains we went with the Pad Thai and the Khao Pad Ka Prao, both had options for chicken, prawn or pork. We both went chicken. I did think the latter would be minced chicken as you get in Thailand but maybe i ordered the wrong thing. Either way it was still very nice. The only downside was it was expensive for what you get, hence the four stars. I would go again, nice atmosphere and nice food.

This place has such a high star rating, I was expecting a high quality, authentic Thai food. It was very disappointing and very expensive food. Firstly, the food is very much catered to western pallet and there was nothing authentic about the taste and the spice levels. I ordered a papaya salad and there was hardly any chillies/spiciness and it was very sweet. This was same with pad kee mao udon - very sweet, hardly and spicy flavours. The dishes were expensive - two dishes and a bottle of water cost nearly £50. There would probably be a better option elsewhere.
