We visited Delhi Wala Restaurant in Leeds during our Christmas and New Year holiday break while travelling back south after spending time near the North East coast. We stopped in Leeds for a very late lunch and arrived extremely hungry, this place could not have been a better choice. The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavour and clearly freshly prepared. Both the veg platter and non-veg platter were generous in size and perfect for sharing. Everything was delicious, but the momos were a real standout, easily some of the best we’ve had. What truly made the experience even more special was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We mentioned that a friend’s birthday was coming up, even though it was a last-minute plan, and the owner was kind enough to surprise us with a complimentary dessert, making it a really special and memorable moment for our group. Fantastic food, generous portions, and genuine hospitality, highly recommended to anyone visiting Leeds. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area again!
Small, friendly and low key curry place near the station with plenty of vegan options. I opted for the vegan platter, ideal to share between 2 apparently but a it turns out perfect for 1. I was asked to move as a larger group wanted a table and this was absolutely fine. Food arrived rapidly and was well presented and tasty. I’d certainly return.
Really loved this place as the staff who attended to us were super nice and really looked after us well. Had two course dinner there on Monday night with my colleague who had vegetarian options and it was great, the food presentation was superb, the chicken tikka also had good size of chicken. In all, it was a good experience.
The menu is pretty intimidating at first glance, as there is a LOT to choose from. Don't be scared about this, as the food is good. The waiter is very accommodating and helpful. My only "issue" is that they place water on the table. I thought (unless this was me being daft) this was a free bottle of water. When I looked at my bill, they charged for me it. Very cheeky...
I didn’t know there was a tip at this restaurant. The total for two people was over 4 pounds, which was a bit expensive for us. The mutton didn't have an unpleasant smell, but the Indian spices were a bit strong. At the end of the checkout, the cashier made a mistake in calculating the price for us. But the service was not bad.
