Giggling Squid is a lovely, modern venue with a more formal feel and really beautiful aesthetics. The space is well designed, up to date, and creates a great atmosphere — it definitely feels like somewhere a bit special. The staff were great — friendly, attentive, and professional throughout, which really added to the overall experience and made us feel well looked after. The food was good, enjoyable, and well presented, but not outstanding. The menu has plenty of choice and everything was cooked well, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectation set by the venue itself. Pricing is on the hearty side, and it’s clear you’re paying for the location and aesthetics as much as the food. If you’re looking for a stylish place with good service and a polished atmosphere, it’s a solid choice. However, if exceptional food value is your main priority, it may feel slightly expensive. Overall, a great place for the ambience and service, with decent food to match — just not somewhere I’d visit purely for the cuisine.

Very good meal, service and and amazing atmosphere. We ordered the veggie set. The Thai green curry was flavourful and a good consistency, with a wide variety of vegetables. The rice with it was well cooked. It was served with a spring roll with a well seasoned filling and crispy fried oyster mushrooms, which were tasty but a bit oily. The angry ginger seabass was good, with fresh flaky fish, and a range of chickpeas and mixed veg. However it was a bit bland and the sauce was quite mild. The chicken satay was good, with soft juicy chicken and a unique satay sauce, with a slight sweetness and siracha flavour. The mini coffee combo included a chocolate heart cake and a Thai iced tea. Both were exceptional: the tea was creamy, sweet and had a strong tea flavour, and the cake was decadent fudgy and chocolatey paired well with ice cream. The service was great, with readiness to provide extra plates and check up on the meal. I was very surprised when our server comped the satay as they forgot to write it down when taking our order although we did end up getting it. This was completely their own decision and showed highly exceptional care and service. Will definitely come again.

I had a lovely experience at Giggling Squid. The restaurant looks beautiful, with floral decorations and calming mint green colours that make the space feel really welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. The food was amazing, especially considering it was my first time trying dishes with a Thai twist. For starters, we had the money bags and the duck spring rolls, both of which were very tasty, but the money bags were on another level 🤤. For mains, I had the lamb shank Massaman, which was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. There may have been slightly too much sauce for the lamb, but it was still delicious. My mum had the Thai green curry, which she really enjoyed, and my uncle ordered the Pad Thai, which he said was nice but not outstanding. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and I would happily come back and definitely recommend it.

What a fantastic restaurant. It used to be a bank, apparently. Stunning decor. The staff were so polite and helpful, a real credit. We had the street food sharing platter for 3, £30, and a cocktail each plus an extra of prawn crackers. The food was superb. Fresh, cooked to perfection and so tasty with a selectionof dips. The cocktails were super fine as well. Kim & I had a Samui Colada each and wife Julia had a Lychee Collins. Its massive inside and still feels cosy. We will return to try other items off there extremely nice menus. We all thought the quality of food and drinks was reflected in a decent price. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
