I had such a lovely experience at the Indian Tiffin Room in Leeds. The staff were super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the place itself has such a vibrant, colourful vibe that really reminds you of India. The food was amazing — full of authentic flavours and perfectly cooked. Some dishes were a bit on the spicy side, but that just made it feel even more genuine. The portions were generous too, which was a nice bonus! Overall, it’s a fantastic spot if you’re craving real Indian street food in a lively, cheerful setting. I’d definitely recommend it — and if you go, make sure to try the masala dosa!
The interior was beautiful and has a really warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and, if you were new to some of the types of dishes, helpful with navigating the varied menu choices. The pani puri were superbly spiced and the dosa light, fragrant and delicious. Couldn't recommend this place more to anyone looking for a place to enjoy Indian cuisine. Wish they had one in Nottingham! 😭
Very nice and good value lunch. We ordered the crispy Malabar fish fry which was very good and flavourful, with a light batter and fresh flaky fish. The gunpowder idli and masala dosa were also very good served with a range of chutneys and sambar. The vegetarian thali was the highlight, with a creamy methi paneer curry, an exceptional dal makhani, a light and airy poori, well cooked rice, and well seasoned potato and peas side. It was also served with yoghurt and frying. It is a must try, with amazing value of just £9.50 and a very generous meal for 1. Will come again.
We had dinner here on a recent visit to Leeds. The decor, atmosphere and staff are absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed the evening. The street food (Chaats) aren’t the best that I have had but on par with others. For any red wine enthusiasts, do try the Cabernet Shiraz from India. It was excellent.
Came across this place by accident whilst having a drink elsewhere. The menu looked interesting so we went inside. Greeted by a friendly man. Saw Indian people eating there so took that as a good sign. Had a variety of dishes that are very different from a typical Indian restaurant. We really enjoyed our food and my spicy cocktail was delicious. The only negative was that there were chickpeas in a dish and they weren't included in the ingredients on the menu otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. However I managed to pick them out and give them to my husband. Great environment and friendly and attentive staff. I would recommend.
