First time visiting Mowgli, we visited in Leeds. Our waitress Rosa was so helpful in explaining the menu to us and giving such lovely service. The food was absolutely beautiful and the restaurant was equally beautiful. Love the Mowgli passport think that’s a really great concept to entice you to come back again! Thank you so much for the great service and food
I tried the Angry Bird, Yoghurt Chat Bombs and Mowgli Chicken Biryani. The starters tasted fine and I’d recommend a try. The Biriyani, whilst well seasoned, felt more like a Chicken Bhuna with plain rice. The rice lacked flavour and aroma, didn’t taste the ghee and could do with more spices and fresh coriander. I’ve had better Biriyani’s at Dishoom or Delhi House in Manchester. The recipe still needs work hence knocking off 2 stars. Mango lassi was lovely. Service was prompt. Restaurant decor is on point.
As a lover of Mowgli this was our first visit to the Leeds site and we loved it ! Excellent service from start to finish in a pleasant welcoming atmosphere. We had the Chaats to start which were an explosion of flavour. We then shared two of the new dishes which were a subtly spiced Diwali Cauliflower and a Chicken Biryani with a bit of kick ! Big portions and great quality and value!
First timers! Menu was explained in detail with recommendations that were very welcome. We were also advised on portion size so that helped with choosing our dishes. Waitress/waiter very friendly. We were asked about further plans after the meal, so I mentioned maybe some shopping & a couple of drinks as it was my birthday, to which the waiter responded with a cheerful "happy birthday" & asked if I could manage a free brownie. Very nice touch & I have to say, it was the gooiest /delicious brownie I've ever had!!
Fab experience. We came for a birthday meal. Food was excellent an explosion of flavour in every mouthfull. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was great. My only criticism would be that half the main dished came out and the we had about a 5 minutes wait for the rest of the food..(during which time the waiters were taking food out to other tables.) This did mean that some of the dishes were cold by the time everything arrived. (Small table of three)
